TOB is a side table made from black cork. The design is inspired by the iconic shape of Toblerone. The idea is born from Tian & Teague's love of chocolate.

In their home, there’s always chocolate lying around. You’ll find traces of it on the coffee table, bedside table, sofa—sometimes even on the bedsheets. After their coffee table got covered in dark stains from chocolate, they wanted to create a solution to their very trivial problem. And sometimes the best way to tackle chocolate is with more chocolate. 

The duo wanted to play with the unique shape of the Toblerone, arguably one of the most iconic chocolates. Their aim was to strike a balance between whimsy and functionality, so they designed the table with two rows of triangular legs. 

While researching materials, they found Sofalca, a company that specializes in black cork. Sofalca uses a natural process to “cook” cork pellets, expanding and bonding them with their own resin, which gives the cork a rich, dark color—almost like chocolate.
